  1. Some on the NoiseTrade site that may interest you include;

    http://noisetrade.com/sing – Gospel Coalition Hymn makeovers

    http://noisetrade.com/TrevorHodge – referred to on his site above, but easy to miss

    http://noisetrade.com/redletter – Mars Hill Church – lots more of their stuff available from the main mars hill site – not brilliant but OK
    http://noisetrade.com/raincityhymnal – Mars Hill Church – not brilliant, but OK.

    http://noisetrade.com/graceevan – Upbeat verses put to music – simple but you might like something, maybe for kids/teenagers
    http://noisetrade.com/covlife – Amazing Grace upbeat guitar version
    http://noisetrade.com/PageCXVI – see also http://pagecxvi.com/ to listen to more samples

  2. Thanks Mike and Gary, I love the Gospel Coalition and Sandra McCracken. Reminds me of Angus and Julia Stone or Boy and Bear. Very folky and modern!

  3. I had to come back and point you to this massive 29 track compilation released by a collective called Cardiphonia.
    Following a Communion theme, they’ve collected a sampler of material from a variety of ‘modern hymn’ composers.
    Good music, good new material and an amazing introduction to a whole bunch of great musicians.
    Did I mention that it’s free?
