Sandra McCracken: http://noisetrade.com/sandramccracken
who both have modern hymns among their repertoire
and while you’re at it, Josh Garrels and live albums by Josh Ritter and the Civil Wars are worth a look.
Nice work Gary!
Just found this too. I know Matt Mulready personally and he’s a terrific guy. This song is free to download for November.

Matt and Steve Morrison have also done some quite heavy stuff for teenagers with their band Qurious – see http://sydneyanglicans.net/news/stories/connect09_youth_video/ and http://orders.koorong.com/search/product/view.jhtml?code=643157404835
Thanks Mike and Gary, I love the Gospel Coalition and Sandra McCracken. Reminds me of Angus and Julia Stone or Boy and Bear. Very folky and modern!
I had to come back and point you to this massive 29 track compilation released by a collective called Cardiphonia.
Following a Communion theme, they’ve collected a sampler of material from a variety of ‘modern hymn’ composers.
Good music, good new material and an amazing introduction to a whole bunch of great musicians.
Did I mention that it’s free?
